Weber 2820 Cooker/Smoker

Product Description

There's nothing better than slow-cooked barbecue. And, there's no better way to get authentic smokehouse flavor at home than with the Smokey Mountain Cooker/Smoker. Perfect for large gatherings, it's easy to cook a whole turkey and an entire ham at the same time in this roomy charcoal smoker. So there's no need to plunge straight into ham prep when you still haven't recovered from baking the turkey. Made of premium-grade steel, the smoker has two, triple-nickel-plated cooking grates measuring 18-1/2 inches in diameter-plenty of room for larger birds. Individual vents on the bowl and lid offer optimal air-flow control for tender meats and longer-burning charcoal. Rust-resistant aluminum vents and an aluminum fuel door ensure years of clean use. The bowl and lid are coated with porcelain enamel for optimal corrosion resistance. And, a porcelain-enameled water pan adds steam to the cooking process, so meats stay moist and juicy. Maintenance-free, glass-reinforced, nylon handles withstand the elements for the life of this innovative charcoal grill. The Smoky Mountain measures 41 by 19 by 19 inches, and rests easily on a park bench or patio. The purchase includes a Weber cookbook, a heavy-duty vinyl cover, and is covered by a 10-year limited warranty.--Brian Olson

"18 YEARS OF WEBER SMOKEY MOUNTAIN COOKING!"
By, RANDY COOK (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)

"Approximately 18 years ago I bought a Weber Smokey Mountain smoker and my outdoor cooking experience took a definite turn for the better. I have smoke cook as much as 1 beef brisket, 1 ham and 1 turkey at the same time and all turned out to restaurant perfection. Nothing has ever turned out bad and the comments from people who have eaten the food has always been great, even behind my back. After 18 years when I clean the cooker with oven cleaner it looks like new. I have only replaced the top grill one time and that is a good record considering how many times it has been used. Finding Weber items have not been a problem but I have had trouble finding a Weber cover for it as not many retailers stock them. I have not been able to find them even at this site. But that is a minor inconvience compared to the joy the cooker has brought to me and my family."

"Smoker of Giants"
By, Frank Fisher "Poke N Choke" (Kanas City)

"I have done competitive BBQ contests for 14 years, used a variety of smokers, even a $5000 custom made unit. Placed high in many contests and won a few, ribbons...16 to date. BUT bought a wsm last weekend for ease of use. Took Grand Champion in a State contest this weekend and placed 1st in pork, brisket, and chicken, all cooked on this gem. Payed the $300 retail for the smoker , porcelin repair kit, and 29.00 thermometer. High gross items and a lot of dough, but took home 700 bucks and Grand Champion. This unit is hands down the easiest to use, and most consistant smoker I have ever used, Poke N choke BBQ team!!! Good Luck!!! AAAAA+++++"

"Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker/Smoker!"

"I have been cooking on a trailer mounted commercial style smoker for several years. I wanted something smaller and easier to use for my patio. This smoker works great and is simple to operate. I have used regular charcoal, lump charcoal and hickory/oak wood. Burns fine, litte mess and clean-up is a breeze. I especially like the 3 adjustable air vents on the bottom and the 1 located on the dome. I have smoked hams, turkey's, beef brisket, chicken and Boston butts. I am proud to say that everything tasted great."
