A Look at Oppo's Universal Players

The audio visual market has in recent times been flooded by a ton of players.

The more recent Oppo BDP-80 is an paramount universal Blu-ray player that incorporates the identical decoder and many similar traits as its more expensive older brother, the Oppo BDP-83. Not only does it have similar traits, it also produces the same speedy disc load times, response times and robust audio and video controls.

Although the Oppo BDP-83 was constructed of aluminium, the Oppo BDP-80 is constructed mostly of plastic and yet does not lose the solid feel associated with Oppo's variety of players. Considering the Oppo BDP-80 is a great deal less as compared with the Oppo BDP-83, it truly lack a handful of the high end attributes encompassed in the Oppo BDP-83.

Although the Oppo BDP-83 is armed with an already wide range of attributes such as Anchor Bay Technologies and makes for a true universal player, the Oppo BDP-80 creates a market for itself. The Anchor Bay ABT2010 video processor on the Oppo BDP-83 has been replaced with a 'System-on-Chip' and the Oppo BDP-80 does not include a IR in/out, RS-232 control interfaces, nor a backlit remote.

While the Oppo BDP-83 is already widely known for its special functions, for the horde of traits incorporated in the Oppo BDP-80, its ridiculously inexpensive price tag is certainly worth every cent! Do check out these blu-ray player reviews for more information.
